Patent Engineer8

Jan Petrik is a patent attorney specialising in artificial intelligence, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering. His broad knowledge base in these areas is based on his engineering degree in mechanical engineering and his parallel training as an electrotechnician during his university studies. In addition, his doctoral thesis dealt with the development of algorithms in the field of artificial intelligence with applications in manufacturing processes. Furthermore, Jan is expanding his legal knowledge by currently completing a bachelor's degree in this field and simultaneously pursuing a master's degree with a focus on innovation and technology law.

Thanks to his research internships at MIT in the USA and Tsinghua University in China, as well as his involvement in various software projects at Microsoft and a start-up company, he has extensive knowledge in the field of information technology. This expertise is further supported by his two years of professional experience as an automation technician. Last but not least, Jan is able to advise clients not only in German and English, but also in French and Czech, all of which he has at least a C1 level of certified proficiency in.
